Jazz is defined by swing feel, extended chords and improvised solos, usually on piano, upright bass, drums, saxophone or trumpet. When you describe a jazz song on Melunox, name the setting and the lead instrument — “smooth jazz, saxophone, relaxed”, “jazz ballad, piano trio, soft female vocal” or “swing, big band brass” — and say whether it should feel late-night slow or lively.
